Imperial Teen Return With New Album ‘All Over You’ And Single ‘Overdrive’

After years away, Imperial Teen are back - and they’re hitting the accelerator.

The indie-pop veterans have announced their seventh studio album, All Over You, arriving October 9 via Merge Records, alongside the release of its infectious first single, Overdrive.

The track lands with an equally vibrant official music video, offering fans the first taste of what promises to be the band’s boldest and most sonically adventurous record yet.

“We want to make people dance and think and feel at the same time,” says Will Schwartz.

Fans won’t have to wait long to experience the new material live either. Imperial Teen have also announced their first run of tour dates since 2020, kicking things off with two sold-out performances alongside The Breeders at San Francisco’s iconic Castro Theatre this August before embarking on a headline run across the United States this autumn.

The tour will take in Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Durham and more, with several dates already selling fast.
